Zone of Focus is a juried, black and white photography exhibition and competition for high school students. In this, its ninth year, students will compete for cash awards and prizes in traditional and digital categories.
Under the artistic direction of Tanya Braunstein, head of the Santa Rosa High School photo program, and in an ongoing collaboration with the Arts Council of Sonoma County, the Sonoma County Museum, the Sonoma County Office of Education and the Friends of ArtQuest, the exhibition will be mounted at the Sonoma County Museum, 425 Seventh Street, Santa Rosa, California. Photographs chosen for the exhibit will be on display from May 10 through June 29, 2008.
Historically, the show has been funded by donations from local businesses, individual donors and nominal entry fees, with cash and prize awards totaling $4,000.
