Zone of Focus is a juried photo exhibition and contest for high school students sponsored by the Santa Rosa High School photography program, the Arts Council of Sonoma County and the Friends of ArtQuest. Several hundred black-and-white submissions from Bay Area students have been judged by a panel of prominent artists and professionals in the field of photography. Cash and prizes will be awarded in both traditional and digital categories. The images chosen for the exhibit will be on display for the public in May 12, 2009, at the Sonoma State University Library at 1801 E. Cotati Avenue, Rohnert Park.

A total of $4,000 in prizes and prize money is needed for student awards. In order to achieve this goal, we are asking you and other members of the community and local businesses to participate by donating cash or gift certificates. Donations of $300 or more will be considered sponsorships and will be acknowledged at the show, but all donations, no matter how small, will be appreciated.

To make your tax-deductible donation, please use the enclosed form and mail to Zone of Focus, Santa Rosa High School, 1235 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401. Checks should be payable to “S.R.H.S.: Zone of Focus.” We appreciate your consideration and sincerely hope that you will join us at the opening reception May 12, 2009, from 4-6 p.m. at the Sonoma State University Library.

Thank you for your support of teens in the arts!
